Girl On The Go

Girl On The Go

When it comes to style and comfort, I say no to heels and yes to sneakers. I would love to say my job involved sitting pretty at a desk all day responding to emails and snapping Insta-Stories of my cute Italian Greyhound, but unfortunately that is not the case. A lot of my day involves moving around, cutting out samples, meeting suppliers, jumping into the car at a moment’s notice and kicking some serious goals.

A few of my favourite sneakers and lace up shoes range from a classic Conserve, which I find easy to wear back with almost everything. If I need to sharpen up my look, I reach for my latest favourite from Country Road, the Lavinia Patent Derby which look feminine paired back with an ivory skirt or white jeans. I have added a few other styles I have mentally added to my lust-have list.

I love the all white ensemble Kaitlyn Ham from Modern Legacy is rocking. I personally opted for the Chuck Taylor All Star Dainty Leather Leather Low Top in White for three reasons.

1. I am always spilling things on my shoes, mainly coffee as I never have enough sleep! So I am constantly wiping them clean and throwing the laces in the wash.

2. I like the cut of these as I am shorter and I feel it makes my leg look longer as it cuts underneath the ankle.

3. I find light shoes easier to wear as I normally wear dark pants and a lighter tee and want to keep my look as fresh as possible.

A lot of brands are bringing out their own version of the classic sneaker. The simplistic sneakers from Seed Heritage worn here by Blogger Elle Ferguson gives them an effortless and cool look with her activewear.

I originally purchased my Nike’s with the intention of wearing them running and the occasional daytime outfit. Unfortunately for me, mine are a little worse for wear as I have scuffed them one too many times… note to self: always have a nice pair to wear with outfits.
